Drop off Your Ballot at Official Dropbox

You may also use the Local Official Mailed Ballot Dropbox locations:  Do not drop off your ballot anywhere else, unless you go to early voting in Joshua Tree, the Registrar of Voters in San Bernardino, or your polling place on election day!

On Election Day, our local drop-off location is the Joshua Tree Branch Library at Park Boulevard and Highway 62.

This drop box information comes from the Primary election, and could possibly change before the November 5th election. We will update here if this change.

Mail Your Ballot
You can also mail your voted ballot in the envelope provided (Don't forget to seal, sign and date, no postage necessary).
You can give your mailed ballot to vote in person at your early voting location or at the polling place on November 5th. It’s OK if you lost, misplaced or forgot your mailed ballot, because the poll worker is able to electronically cancel your mailed ballot, even though you don’t have it with you. The poll worker will then issue you a new paper ballot to vote on Election Day.

How to vote if you are not registered: (same day registration)
Ask the poll worker (on Election Day or at the early voting location) to register you on site and let you vote provisionally right then. Your vote will be counted when the Registrar of Voters verifies your information on the voter registration form that you will be filling out. https://www.sos.ca.gov/.../voting.../provisional-voting

How to Fill Out a Ballot
No pencils!
There are voting instructions in the County Voter Information Guide that you were mailed. Or you can vote in person either at the early voting location or at your polling place on November 5th. There, the poll workers can assist you.

How Do I Know Who to Vote For? How to research candidates, measures and propositions If you need more information about candidates and ballot measures, you can go to this non-partisan organization: https://lwvc.org/ballot-recommendations You can research in your mailed County Voter Information Guide or online at http://www.vote411.org/ballot Here, you plug in your address and you can see your local races. You make your selections (there is info on some candidates and measures to see there and you can see who endorses or opposes the candidates and measures) and it will save your picks and email or text them to you when you hit finish.
